The Companys main business activities are in the construction-related industry and specialized in the power, gas, telecommunication and cable TV infrastructure developments in Singapore.

Wee Guan has been active and remains a key contractor in the PowerGrid (formerly PUB) power transmission and distribution project in Singapore. These projects range from low voltage to extra high voltage (66KV and above) power cable as well as EHV switchgear both on an installation or turnkey basis.

The Company is also the PowerGrids contractor for the pilot projects in optic fiber cable installation (6 Km) and Trenchless Technology application using Horizontal Directional Boring Method. Both of these projects were successfully implemented to the satisfaction of the PowerGrid officers.

Wee Guan is also a turnkey contractor with the StarHub Cable Vision (SCV) involving in the CATV Network Construction since its early days. Works involve construction of horizontal lead-in pipes, laying of coaxial cables, installation of fiber node pedestals and drops construction in private high-rise estates, landed estates, the HDB estates, schools, community centers and other commercial establishments.

Apart from the power and CATV industries, Wee Guan is also a season contractor with the Singapore Telecom doing the pipeline infrastructure works. Back in the late 70s, the company through its former predecessor as a subcontractor, was already participating actively during the telecommunication expansion era.

Wee Guan is also credited for the successful cabling of the entire MRT North East Line (NEC) spanning from Harbourfront to Punggol, totaling 16 nos. of station. A total of 400KM of various types of cables were installed within the short span of 6 months.

In the Gas Main activities, the company has actively participated in the Soxal Jurong Island Project and successfully undertaken the PowerGas Pipeline Construction & Upgrading Works for Area 3 on a term contract basis. Wee Guan has also recently completed the rehabilitation of a medium pressure PE pipe transmission from Bukit Timah OTS to Kallang OTS totaling 12 KM.

Wee Guan has also diversified its core business further into related and support industry. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Wee Guan Engineering Pte Ltd, the company has invested and is operating successfully in the road milling and patching business.

The subsidiary company currently owned five units of milling machine and is planning for future expansion depending on market demands. There are only a handful of milling and patching operators in the Singapore construction industry, and the fact that Wee Guan can enter and operate successfully in this trade is a proof of the Companys underlying capability and strength.

To date, Wee Guan remains a favorite service installation contractor among its competitors to many important clients in the services industry in Singapore
