Singapore Cement Manufacturing Co., (Pte) Ltd is jointly owned by Hong Leong Asia Ltd and Taiheiyo Singapore Pte Ltd. SCMC is the sole distributor for Japanese Onoda Brand Ordinary Portland Cement in Singapore.

SCMC started with import and bagging of cement and went on to grinding bulk cement at the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) in 1962. In 1995, SCMC started a new cement terminal project at Pulau Damar Laut, Jurong Port with 50,000 metric tonnes storage capacity. In 1996, it received its first ever cement MV Trade Master?.The company has supplied cement products for many major residential, commercial and government infrastructure projects in Singapore, most notably for the Housing and Development Board (HDB).
