The evolution from a small handicraft business in 1864 to an international, globally acting corporate group in 2015 ? a short historic review.

OECHSLERs beginnings
The foundation of the company takes place in 1864: Matthias Oechsler establishes a small handicraft business producing horn buttons. After a successful start, the company is steadily increasing, as well as being equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, for example at Weißenburg. Around 1900, "Matthias OECHSLER & Sohn" employs about 1000 people.

Reconstruction after WW II
During World War II, the plant is destroyed to large parts by an air raid. After the end of the war, the production is started anew and "Matthias OECHSLER & Sohn" is prospering again.

OECHSLER corporate group today
Beside 2 German sites (Ansbach,Weißenburg), OECHSLER corporate group today is represented at 4 international locations: China (Taicang), Romania (Lipova), Mexico (Querétaro) and Singapore. Globally, more than 2300 people are working for OECHSLER. In 2014, the 150th anniversary was celebrated at Ansbach with a great party for all employees and their families.
As a system supplier, OECHSLER develops, assembles and supplies components for the automotive and medical sector as well as for the communication industry. Thereby, OECHSLER focuses on highest standards with regard to precision, quality and manufacturing processes as well as on innovative technologies and attractive designs.
