JMCS incorporated in 1971 and commence operation in 1975, where by providing cold storage warehousing for storage of frozen foodstuff and manufacturing of block ice for consumers like the fishing industries, wet markets, hawker centres etc.
In the year 2001, a section of the Block Ice has been converted to produce tube-ice to cater for human consumption as Block Ice was disallowed by the NEA. By the year 2007, Block Ice was abandoned and the whole area was converted to produce tube-ice.
