GPS Lands was incorporated in 1999. The setup of the company was primarily to carry out the sales, service, training and support for Trimble GPS. Back in the late nineties, Trimble was a GPS products only company. With a headcount of 3 (in year 2000), GPS Lands was instrumental in carrying out strategic marketing of Trimble GPS, a time where GPS technology was not as well accepted in Singapore.

GPS Lands was appointed as sole distributor for the Trimble brand for Land Survey and Mapping-GIS segments. This was in part due to the small market size and also the compliance of investing in dedicated resources for the necessary upkeep of the market leader position for GPS based Survey scopes. The success of GPS Lands in the early years (from 1999-2002) was largely based on the disciplined educating of the markets on the need for GPS in everyday survey scopes. Within 3 years, GPS Lands was the market leader for GPS receivers used for Land Survey and Mapping-GIS data acquisition scopes.

The business of GPS Lands grew along with the many acquisitions of Trimble. Spectra Precision and Nikon Survey were the major acquisition by Trimble. Till date, with the headquarters in Singapore and fully autonomous offices in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, Indonesia, the company has grew and is now a major player in the region providing advance Geospatial tools and solutions. The role of GPS Lands group of companies is to continue to grow our business and bring value add to our treasured clients. Recognizing the need grow the business and also to keep in step with emerging market trends within the Geospatial industry, GPS Lands has heavily invested time and money to acquire knowledge and domain expertise into the LiDAR based technology.
